What are we measuring?
The hiring process begins when the hiring department receives the approval to hire and continues with the advertising of the position, the identification of qualified candidates, the interviewing of top candidates, and the final selection.  Timely hiring depends on both the hiring department and the Department of Human Resources Management (DHRM).
Why are we measuring it?

How are we doing?
About half of all positions were filled within 60 days when tracking of this measure started in 2013.  Performance declined over the next two years but rebounded, reaching 90% in 2017 after the filling by DHRM of two positions that focus on the on-boarding process.  However, in 2018 performance fell to a rate of 60% filled within 60 days.
