What are we measuring?
This goal is based on tracking the percentage of time that operational radio support is available for public safety and non-public safety units. Radio support is provided by trained and certified staff technicians and requires that a technician be on call at all times. More than 3,500 personnel from more than 20 public safety agencies throughout Fulton County use the system to allow them to communicate effectively with other public safety personnel, including dispatchers and first responders.
Why are we measuring it?
It is essential for the protection of lives and property that a trained technician is available at all times to respond in case of problems with the radio system.
How are we doing?
Emergency Services 911 maintained the availability of radio support 98.5 percent of the time during 2017.
