What are we measuring?
This goal is based on tracking the percentage of calls into the Fulton County 911 Center that are answered within 10 seconds. Over 640,000 calls came into the Center in 2017.

Why are we measuring it?
Seconds matter when someone calls 911 in a life-threatening emergency.  The sooner the call can be answered, the sooner the call taker can collect critical information, prioritize the call and dispatch it to the appropriate agency.  According to the standard established by the National Emergency Number Association (NENA), 90% of calls should be answered within 10 seconds.

How are we doing?
Emergency Services 911 consistently answered at least 90 percent of calls within 10 seconds for each quarter of 2017 and average over 95 percent answered in 10 seconds for the year.
