About the Department
Fulton County’s Department of Emergency Services operates the Emergency Communications Center, which handles 911 calls and dispatches emergency service responders for the following areas: South Fulton, Fairburn, Chattahoochee Hills, Union City, Palmetto, and Unincorporated Fulton County.
The department provides command, control and information support services to law enforcement, fire and EMS services.
Emergency Services is responsible for the operations and management of the county’s public safety communications center as well as fire and emergency medical services for the unincorporated areas of the county.

Why is this important: One of the primary responsibilities of the department is ensuring that Fulton County's strategic priority area, Justice & Safety, is adhered to. As true first responders to citizens, visitors and stakeholders of Fulton County, the quick and efficient way calls are answered helps to enhance services in times of dire need, without excessive delay.
Description: Percentage of Priority 1 calls processed within 90 seconds
Why is this important: One of the primary responsibilities of the department is ensuring that Fulton County's strategic priority area, All People are Safe, is adhered to. As true first responders for citizens and visitors to Fulton County, the quick and efficient way incidents are processed to our public safety stakeholders helps to enhance services in times of dire need without delay.
Description: Percentage of technical service request that are closed within five (5) business days
Why is this important: Measurement of this KPI ensures our served stakeholders and Radio System requests are resolved within five (5) business days for timely customer resolution. The purpose and justification ensures all technical service requests are resolved in the most expeditious manner to ensure Fulton County's mission of All People Are Safe.
