Description of Initiative:
Project Care is a partnership between Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) and Fulton County Government, in which Ernst & Young LLP performed a market
analyses and current state assessment of healthcare and social services in Fulton County. This market analysis looks at gaps in services across the County the
help identify needs in healthcare based on the social determinants of health.
What we are trying to Accomplish:
- Development of a stand alone hospital in South Fulton
- Increase the health service gap in underserved areas of the County
- Eliminating the difference in the early death rates by race and area across the County
- Increase the number of primary care and medical providers in areas that are underserved
- Promote residents being proactive on recieving healthcare services with community and educational campaigns
