Desired Outcome #1: Cases are processed and adjudicated in a timely manner

Percentage of felony indictments that occur within 90 days of arrest
The chart below shows the monthly percentage of felony cases indicted within 90 days of arrest.  Percentages are shown separately for 1) all felonies, 2) felony cases for which the defendant was in jail at the time of indictment, and 3) felony cases for which the defendant was not in jail at the time of indictment.  By state law, individuals have a right to a grand jury hearing within 90 days of confinement where bail is refused.  Absent a hearing within 90 days, they have a right to have bail set. (O.C.G.A. Sec. 17-7-50)
Percentage of misdemeanor accusations that occur within 90 days of arrest
The chart below shows the monthly percentage of misdemeanor cases accused within 90 days of arrest.  Percentages are shown separately for all misdemeanors, misdemeanor cases for which the defendant was in jail at the time of accusation, and misdemeanor cases for which the defendant was not in jail at the time of accusation.
Number of Misdemeanor Cases Initiated and Accusations Filed
The chart below shows the number of misdemeanor cases initiated and the number of accusations filed by the Solicitor General each month since June 2015.

The functionality needed to track this metric was recently added to the case management system.  The metric will be reported once sufficient data has been collected.
