About the Department
The primary mission of the Fulton County Marshal’s Department is to preserve the peace, protect lives and to serve the public by enforcing the orders, writs and precepts of the State and Magistrate Courts of Fulton County, and other courts of competent judicial authority, in a responsible, efficient, and cost effective manner.

The Marshal's Department has sworn law enforcement personnel that are certified by Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.). The Marshal's Department personnel:
  • Enforce Federal, State and Local Laws and Ordinances 
  • Serve civil process 
  • Serve dispossessory warrants
  • Execute eviction writs 
  • Execute Probation and Magistrate Court warrants 
  • Enforce writs of possession (turnover orders) 
  • Conduct Judicial Sales 
  • Provide security in State and Magistrate Courts

A disruption resulting in an arrest would be a pause of courtroom operations due to disorderly conduct by any visitor to the courtroom, and the disruption results in the arrest of the offender.

Why is this important: The execution of arrest warrants is a primary mission of the Department. Minimal incidents of use of force to execute arrest warrants is a target to demonstrate exceptional performance in this mission.

Description: Number of Evictions Where Disruption Results In Arrest
Why is this important: The execution of eviction writs is a primary mission of the Department. Minimal disruptions to the execution of eviction writs is a target to demonstrate exceptional performance in this mission. A disruption resulting in an arrest would be a pause to the process of executing an eviction writ due to disorderly conduct of a third party, and the disruption results in the arrest of the offender.
