About the Department
The Department of Purchasing & Contract Compliance is committed to customer service and the timely acquisition of goods and services. As part of the countywide commitment to provide "Excellence in Procurement", we have been recognized by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing and the National Purchasing Institute in the areas of procurement, professionalism, innovation and customer service. We are proud to be recognized at the national level as a cutting edge purchasing agency operating with the highest standards established within the profession.
Key Performance Indicators
We are measuring the Department's ability to produce and document sufficient cost savings measures in order to quantify the value the Department brings to the procurement process. Cost savings can be defined as the aggregate amount of money saved by reducing costs from one year to the next.
An Invitation to Bid (ITB) is a formal solicitation for goods or services valued at $50,000 or more.
We are measuring the length of time it takes from the issuance of the RFP up to the agenda item being presented to the Board of Commissioners for approval.
We are measuring the length of time it takes from the issuance of the E-Quote up to the Purchase Order is processed.
This KPI measures the satisfaction of training workshops provided to the business community. For the customer service survey, this department uses Survey Monkey to target internal customers who received services from the department. The survey participants vary, but does include department liaisons. This survey is ongoing.
This KPI measures the number of professional positions with a professional certification (e.g. CPPO,CPPB,ACCA,MCA,etc.).
